Eco: definition

The eco works is an interest-free loan allowing individuals and condominiums to finance energy renovations of homes. This enhanced loan is intended for landlords, landlords or occupiers and co-owners' unions. The interest-free eco-loan is granted for thermal renovations in detached houses, apartments or common areas of a condominium.

Eco: end of the work bouquet obligation

As a help err and difficult to obtain and difficult to "mount", the Eco underwent a major overhaul in the summer of 2019. The aim of this transformation, pushed by the State, is to make eco-PTZ more accessible to households wishing to finance energy renovations.

In fact, before the reform of this aid to the works, a bunch of works had to be carried out to benefit from an eco, i.e. to undertake at least two renovations.

Exit this requirement: since July 1, 2019, it is enough to have only one of the works carried out from the following list to qualify for the Eco:
  • installation of equipment that produces heating and/or sanitary hot water using renewable energy,
  •      high-performance insulation of the exterior walls,
  •      efficient insulation of the entire roof, efficient insulation of exterior carpentry (doors and windows),
  •     a new heating or/and hot water production system.

However, the work will have to be carried out.

Another case eligible for a zero-rate eco-loan is the completion of a thermal study by a specialized office to determine the work to be carried out to improve the energy performance of an apartment or house built after January 1st. 1948.

Finally, the eco can finance works that significantly improve the overall performance of the dwelling, i.e. obtain a consumption of no more than 331 kWh/m2 per year for heating, cooling and hot water production. and a reduction of at least 35% in related expenses. This gain will have to be validated by a thermal diagnosis.

In addition, new works and equipment are now supported by the Eco:
  • low floor insulation is supported by eco works for quotes signed from July 1, 2019
  •     the oil tank deposit, has been financing since August 21, 2019. The aim is, in fact, to encourage households to abandon this highly polluting energy.

Good to know for owners of isolated houses, there is also an eco sanitation designed to regulate the replacement of an old non-collective sanitation system with a non-energy sanitation system.
